south. The property is now the location of the Norwood Plaza
shopping center. Prior to
moving to Norwood, the company was located at 521 & 523 Walnut
Street, Cincinnati.
An 1896 lot map of William
Durrel's Ivanhoe Subdivision shows L.
Schreiber & Sons at a 12.511 acres site. They also owned a
strip of land from that property to Northside Avenue (Cleneay Avenue)
and the tip of the Ivanhoe Avenue-Montgomery Turnpike intersection,
later occupied by a Norwood fire station. The map was probably marked
as various properties were sold, therefore the Schreiber
notations were likely added well after 1896.
