Norwood Baseball Club Elects Officers

A clipping from the The Cincinnati Enquirer newspaper,
November 3, 1902:
The Norwood Baseball Club has elected the following officers to serve during the season of 1903: President, E. W. Jewell; Vice-President, George E. Mills; Treasurer, Orrin N. Lattell; Secretary and Manager, Llewellyn Evans; Assistant Secretary, W. C. Hattersley. The Board of Directors are composed of these officers and Judge Aaron McNeill and W. G. Betty.

An indication of the importance of baseball in Norwood, is the fact that these men were community leaders, successful businessmen and well-known politicians. Notice that baseball is one word—not two (base ball), as it originally was spelled.
