  • Flag from WWII; size is 14"x21". This type of flag was placed in a window to indicate that a person in the household was serving in the military.
  • "The Dalton Ten-Key Touch-Operating Adding, Listing and Calculating Machine"; ca. late 1910's-late 1920's.
    The Dalton Adding Machine Company moved to 4946 (later records give the number as 4930) Beech Street, Norwood, Ohio, from Poplar Bluff, Missouri in 1914, because it needed a large workforce and facilities. In 1927, after the death of the owner, James L. Dalton, the business was sold to Remington-Rand. In 1940, Remington-Rand sold the site to the LeBlond Machine Tool Company. Since then several businesses have located here: The Cleveland Automatic Machine Company, Ahrens-Fox Fire Engine Company, the J. H. Day Company, and currently, Rumpke.
